2024 Chardonnay (Beechworth)

Sourced from 20-year-old Chardonnay vines grown by the Iwanuch family in the Beechworth township of Baarmutha. Hand-picked fruit was gently pressed to 500L French oak barrels (15% new), where it fermented and matured for 10 months. Regular lees stirring encouraged full malolactic conversion, building richness and texture before bottling unfiltered and unfined. 

Rich and shapely in texture, this Chardonnay layers white peach, nectarine and grapefruit with hints of dried honey, biscuity nougat and ginger spice. A subtle flinty edge and bright acidity bring balance, flowing into a long, savoury finish. Perfect for date night, pairing with an aged creamy cheese, or indulging alongside a comforting Sunday roast.
